Germany - Bavaria www.weingut-2h.de    Winery description: We are a young winery in the hinterland of Lake Constance. Since 2018, we have been growing PIWI wines exclusively. Among others, Solaris, Cabernet Carol, Muscaris and Sauvitage grow in our ecologically managed farm. The pebble-rich end moraine soil of our region gives our wines their special aroma. Climatically, the Alps near the lake with their downdraft winds and the warm foehn ensure that the vine rows dry out and warm up quickly - which is why we can completely dispense with plant protection measures. At the same time, we increase or maintain the resistance of the vines through the targeted use of tonics. The rest is contributed by our donkeys: they provide a wonderful fertiliser interspersed with earthworms, which we apply to the vines in spring and which, together with the wild strawberries growing in the understock area, ensures absolutely healthy vines. Our goal is the sustainable production of organic wines, which for us also includes the recycling of bottles, caps and packaging. The organic winery 2H stands for PIWI wines as "Pure Innovative Wine Ideas" by Kerstin Herrmann and Wolfgang Häußler, matured to one hundred % in the hinterland of Lake Constance, hand-picked by us and refined with love. From now on, you will find Germany's first Piwithek, the TOP - The TasteOfPiwi. Here you can not only taste and purchase our own wines, but also many different wines from other, organically farmed wineries.
