Winery Müneck
Germany - Württemberg www.Müneck.de    Winery description: With a vineyard on the southern edge of the Schönbuch in a terraced steep slope, planted with 2ar Spätburgunder, the Private Winery Müneck Founded in 2003. Initially, the wine was pressed in the cellar at home. Through the acquisition and renovation of the historic farmhouse in the centre of Breitenholz, the private winery with cellar, wine press and barn was established in Müneckstraße as early as 2005. In the following years, further vineyards were newly planted and acquired. For more than 10 years, the private winery has been run together with Claudia Schmucker-Arold and her Breitenholz steep slopes. Today, almost 1 ha of historic terraced vineyards are planted with both traditional and fungus-resistant grape varieties (PIWI). Our connection to nature, together with the desire to contribute to the preservation of the cultural landscape, obliges us to care for the vineyards with the utmost care. This applies to soil, cane, foliage, grapes, plant and walls. During the harvest, the grapes are selectively harvested according to their degree of ripeness and quality. Our goal is to create distinctive wines that are produced naturally. The entire pressing and cellar work is done purely by hand. The particularly gentle processing of the grapes preserves the quality from the vineyard. According to the qualitative characteristics of the young wines, they are matured in new or old barriques.
