Italy - Alto Adige / South Tyrol www.vinventum.it    Winery description: Our SOLARIS grape variety thrives at the foot of the "Spitzige Lun" mountain in Malles/Mals in Val Venosta/Vinschgau. Our family business attaches great importance to natural cultivation, which has turned our vineyard into a living ecosystem for animals such as insects, moles, deer, stags and birds as well as for plants such as herbs, flowers and shrubs. The "Vinschgau wind" influences our growing area every day and gives our wine its unique flavour. Due to the challenges of the hillside location, we do not use machinery and see our work as a harmonious collaboration with nature. Our family business is proud to be certified organic and we endeavour to integrate biodynamic methods as well. Our aim is to create wines that reflect the characteristics of our vineyard and its surroundings. Our wine cellar in Glurns, nestled under the medieval arcades of the smallest town in South Tyrol, is the proud place where our Solaris matures in a restored 14th century cellar. There, we give the bottles their individual touch by hand, melting wax for the capsules before sending them off to wine lovers as true treasures.
