Winery Köpfer
Germany - Baden - Markgräflerland www.weingut-koepfer.de Winery description: The Köpfer Winery has been family-owned since 1756 and has been growing grapes in the Markgräfler Land, the foothills of the Black Forest between Freiburg and Basel. Our vineyards are spread over four districts around the historic Faust town of Staufen, each in the best exposures: the Grunerner Stammlage is the "Altenberg". The "Ballrechter Castelberg" is reminiscent of the Romans who introduced viticulture here. Other vineyards are planted on the small but exquisite single vineyards "Staufener Schloßberg" and "Kirchhofener Höllhagen.
