Winery Goldschmidt GbR
Germany - Rheinhessen www.wein-goldschmidt.de Winery description: Our wines are meant to be fun, to give pleasure. That is why they are not only excellent in taste, but also particularly digestible. Carl Zuckmayer already described the wines of his and our Rhine-Hessian homeland as "laughing wines". Try them for yourself. Cheers! Our winery emerged at the end of the 1960s from a typical Rhine-Hessian mixed farm. Jochen Goldschmidt planted the first vines and immediately began to market the wines himself. More and more, the focus shifted from farming and animal husbandry to wine. Master winemaker Uli Goldschmidt took the winery further and converted it to organic farming in 2002. Today, viticulture is the mainstay of our farm, although we still do some arable farming. There are no more cattle, the old cowshed has been converted and now serves as a vinotheque. Since July 2019, young winemaker and viticultural technician Jonas Goldschmidt has been revitalising the winery with new ideas and impulses.
