The wines of Hof Steyert (14 ha) are typical site wines, i.e. characterised by the idea of terroir and of a special character due to the slate weathered soils of the Steyerberg steep slope. The result is the best wines, for which all the grapes were harvested by hand, such as Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer, Riesling, Sylvaner and Regent. In the cellar, gentle, individually coordinated vinification is the basis. This includes fermentation with our own yeasts. Our unfiltered Sylvaner, vinified only by yeast extraction, is a successful example of this.
