Bodegas Aradón
Spain - Rioja https://www.aradon.es/en/home/ Winery description: Bodegas Aradon is an association of winegrowers who chose their name in honour of the ancient Roman village of Aradon, which was located in what is now Rioja. In the meantime, the winegrowers cultivate up to 90-year-old vines on the plain of the former village. Other areas lie at an altitude of between 350 and 600 metres above sea level and are exposed to exciting climatic conditions. On the one hand, a Mediterranean climate brings sun and warmth, on the other hand, an Atlantic climate ensures freshness and liveliness. In addition, winegrowers enjoy a wide variety of soils, with calcareous and siliceous clay soils predominating. In addition to the most important grape varieties Tempranillo and Garnacha, Marzuelo, Graciano, Viura and Garnacha Blanca also grow on these soils. Two different styles of wine are produced from the grapes. Both the traditional Rioja Riserva system and a modern variant with a focus on the primary fruit aromas are represented in the wine range.
