Its vineyards stretch along the southern slopes of the sandy granite hills above Lana near Merano. For more than two decades, the Pfeifhofer family has been farming organically, and for about 10 years biodynamically according to Demeter guidelines. To this day, the autochthonous South Tyrolean grape varieties Fraueler, Versoaln and Vernatsch can be found at Zollweghof in the traditional Pergel system of cultivation. They are vinified into mineral wines with fine fruit and refreshing acidity and sold from the farm. The white wine Pfiffikus, for example, is a cuvée of Fraueler and Versoaln. Franz Pfeifhofer's main focus is on fungus-resistant grape varieties. In the 700-year-old wine cellar, the fruity, strong wines "Unikum" and "Bonifazius" as well as the fruity rosé "Granat" are produced. The white wine variety "Bronner" impresses with its unmistakable minerality, fruit and pleasant acidity.
