From April 2023, we will move into our new winery at Weinarkaden 1 in 67591 Offstein. Today, 80 hectares of vineyards are cultivated in very different locations in Rheinhessen and the Palatinate. This has resulted in a wealth of knowledge about vineyard work, the climate and nature, coupled with craftsmanship. What is special about Rheinhessen is the diversity of soils and the high number of hours of sunshine. The vines are preferably planted on limestone soils. This ensures a harmonious interplay of sweetness and acidity. In his white wine cellar, Matthias succeeds brilliantly in pressing particularly clear and very varietal wines through cool and slow fermentation in steel tanks. The red wines are traditionally matured in wooden barrels after mash fermentation. The full-bodied wines are aged for 10 to 15 months in barriques.
