With the purchase of a corresponding plot of land in 2013, we laid the foundation for a new home and our own small but beautiful vineyard. We were active in IT as entrepreneurs for over 30 years. After founding the company in 1989 with 4 employees, we have grown over the years into a market-leading medium-sized company with more than 100 employees. As career changers, we have been cultivating a vineyard with around 40 ares and 1500 vines since retiring from management. The vineyard where our vines grow is right in front of our living room and it is easy for us to spend a lot of time in the vineyard. It is our passion to make high-quality wines with loving handicraft. Friends help us with the harvest, the only time in our winery when things have to move quickly. The rest of the work in the vineyard and cellar is done by two of us - of course always accompanied by our Portuguese water dog Caio. Awareness of quality, nature and responsibility are the prerequisites of an attitude that gives rise to wonderful, expressive wines. Through our work in the vineyard and cellar, we want to bring out the original characteristics of the wine in the best possible way. Our vision is to accompany the grapes as they grow, to understand the microclimate and to treat the vine and the environment with care. A vital organism can withstand adverse circumstances and diseases better than a weak one. Therefore, the focus is on strengthening the natural defences of our vines. Loose leaf wall design and the application of herbal teas and care products are important measures for us. Although it goes without saying for us, we do not want to leave unmentioned that we do not use chemical and synthetic agents. We then accompany the fingerprint created by our work and external influences into the bottle. The basis for our style - which can best be described with the words natural, marked by origin and long-lasting. It is good to patiently observe what happens silently in nature, and it is usually best to intervene as little as possible. We work with awareness and empathy and thus do not achieve random results, but wines with character and soul. Our wines should reflect the radiance of nature as well as our company philosophy. The results are individual, digestible wines with complexity, finesse and character. Since we see ourselves first and foremost as winegrowers and spend a lot of time in the vineyard and cellar, we ask for your understanding that ex-farm sales are only possible by appointment by telephone.
