Entry deadline for the Spring Edition on 24 April - free debriefing of individual results - special conditions for association members.
Frasdorf, April 2023 - Appreciation for the craft, comprehensible quality assessments and valuable data for viticulture and the trade: that's what the spring edition of the ORGANIC WINE AWARD INTERNATIONA. To further increase the usefulness of the sensory data sheets that are created for each wine, WINE SYSTEM offers free telephone debriefings following the tasting. In addition to wines of all types made from certified organically grown grapes, wines made from organically grown apples and pears as well as non-alcoholic wines are also permitted. Flavoured organic wines and organically produced wine-containing cocktails may also be registered for the PAR® quality test. The products are tasted individually and then appear in the ranking together with comparable products in their own category. Data for Quality Management, Medals for Marketing
Organic wines from all over the world - in all colours, all styles, all their regional expressions - that is the ORGANIC WINE AWARD INTERNATIONAL. For more than a decade, it has not only been an important trend barometer for the scene; the detailed data sheets of the PAR® Certified Master Jury also help winemakers to optimise their wine quality.
For this purpose, data on the type of production and ingredients of the organic wines are collected in advance, before the sensory components are meticulously documented in the blind tasting by a team of two, and only in the third step are they qualitatively classified in terms of origin, climate and type of production as well as drinkability. The jury records all this in a clear data sheet, the PAR® sheet. This procedure means that producers know afterwards what they can improve about their wine. In order to clarify questions of understanding, WINE SYSTEM offers a free telephone debriefing of the evaluations, which is increasingly used by winegrowers in particular.
For the sake of wine – Spring and Autumn Edition since 2020
The ORGANIC WINE AWARD INTERNATIONAL has been held twice a year since 2020 - in May and October. The reason: In autumn, wines can also participate that show longer maturation potential or, as young wines, for example through longer yeast storage or maturation in barrique and amphora, only now come into their own. The autumn edition 2023 will be tasted from 13 to 16 October
Discounts for associations and multiple participants
Those who registered wines for testing in spring will receive a 10 percent discount on the participation fees for the autumn edition - as well as on all other WINE SYSTEM Awards 2023. Association members of Ecovin, Bioland and Demeter will receive a 10 percent discount as part of a cooperation. The two promotions can be cumulated.
